Meet the Pastor

Reverend Bill Taylor

Bill Taylor is a retired Elder in the UMC who with his wife Carol, both daughters and both grandsons, moved to Loudon, N.H. in January 2018. Before retirement, Rev Taylor served the Portsmouth, New York, United Methodist Church(2004-2014), was on the Board of our Conference's Nicaragua Covenant, and volunteered as a Chaplin at the Charlton Hospital in Fall River, Massachusetts.

Bill ended his 35 year business career as an Information Technology executive specializing in Communication Networks. His Military Service includes the US Air Force with tours in France, Vietnam and Tucson, AZ. and he is retired from the Air National Guard.

His business background includes software engineering at Bell Telephone Laboratories before managing telecommunications engineering, operation and services as Vice President at Swiss Bank Corp., and VP of Telecommunications Operations at Fidelity Investments. At a Wall Street start up company, IXNet, Bill was VP of Global Operations providing global network services to financial companies.

Since his call from God, Bill has been driven by the declining relationship between church and society. He invites people to reevaluate their personal values in a shared responsibility with the least of Jesus' brothers and sisters, and with our environment.

Rev. Taylor shares a view that all people should be offered a proper education and the opportunity to use that education in the workplace. All people should be guaranteed health care, whenever and however needed. All people should be guaranteed they won't starve to death or have to live without sufficient clothing or adequate shelter. The earthly kingdom that God enables us to create should offer simple comforts and basic dignities for all human beings so that survival would never again be an issue.

Bill received his Master of Divinity from Boston University, School of Theology, specializing in Practical Theology. From the business world he also has an M.S. in Computer Science and extensive continuing executive education from MIT, Wharton and Columbia.

Rev. Taylor is married to Carol who embraces her own ministry of helping people in various ways and to nurture young people. They have two daughters and two grandsons. Tracy and  Sean (26)  along with Tina and Zachary(19) all now live in Loudon, NH.  Sean has a Master of Business Administration and Zachary is majoring in Economics and Philosophy at the University of Rhode Island.
